The source of Mondariz bottled water is a spring located in the basin of the River Tea in the boroughs of Mondariz and Mondariz Balneario, towns located in the south of Galicia (Spain) within a protected area of countryside. The water is filtered through layers of granite, giving it a unique mineral content. The water remains in the aquifer for a period of between 60 and 150 years before flowing at a constant temperature of 16.5 °C throughout the year.
Agua de Mondariz is a water with a low mineral content and an excellent source of iron for the body. A daily intake of two litres of Mondariz natural mineral water provides 20% of the recommended daily amount of iron. It has an approximate total hardness of 4.2 ºF and an approximate pH value of 6.5.
As proud importers of Mondariz bottled water to the UK market, the team at Aqua Amore believe this natural mineral water will intrigue our customers and offer a unique mineral composition to be enjoyed.
The characteristic green glass of Mondariz sparkling bottled water is a reference to the history of the brand, whereby the functional colour of the bottle protected the natural mineral water from sunlight.
